Brent's Tailgating Spot for Saturday

Here are some shots of Buck, Todd, Hool and our friend, David "UBoat" Niemeyer at Brent Ohl's awesome tailgating spot next to the old Melrose Market (you can see the old brick store behind David). We'll be hanging here on Saturday before the game. Thanks, Brent! The guy on the blanket was passed out cold (WAY early in the day) so being the good samaritans we are, we moved him into the shade before the Sun could fry what was left of his brain. Don't worry. I don't believe this is a normal occurrence, but then again, I only get back to one game a year.

Does everyone have a room that wants one at the Coralville Comfort Inn? I still have 4 rooms left in my name. I only need one. ;-) All you need to do to secure your room is call the hotel at 319-351-8144 and book a room off of the Sturgeon block to your name.

From what I can tell, this is where we are on the rooms to my knowledge:

Meg (I understand I don’t need to worry about a room for you after speaking with Locke, right?)

Please book a room if you need one. They have 72 hour cancellation policy, so eventually I’m going to have to release them so I don’t get charged.

A number of Bubble House guys will also be in town; they have their room situation under control.

We’ll all hook up at the Coralville Comfort Inn and head over to The Edge on Friday for food and beverages.

Saturday we’ll be tailgating at Brent Ohl’s spot – a house right next to the old Melrose market.

I think we were still living in the Boat House for this event. You know what's sad? I've seen no shots of Steve Lodge and was disappointed I didn't take any photos at his wedding, a.k.a. our trip to Clinton. I was delighted that Lalo had some pics from the event. The sad part - no photos of Lodge! I remember a bunch of us crashed at one hotel room giggling like girls all night. For some reason, I can remember Todd going on about Circus Peanuts - "They don't taste like peanuts at all!"
